I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. Should I keep this insurance? I checked with AARP through Hartford and they want between $299 to $428 per month for non drug related $5000 to $1000 deductible 80% coverage to $2500 co pay to 100% coverage. I pay about $250 per month now.

I Am Thinking About Buying A Hybrid Life Insurance Product And Need Some Advice!?

It costs $56000 for $500000 in coverage to age 105. I am 49 yrs old and in good health. The main reason for buying, is that the coverage is good for nursing home care, and home health care if I become incapacitated. It is underwritten by Hartford Insurance.

Hybrid policies are not necessarily cost effective if there is no life insurance need; but a hybrid can be very efficient when there are survivorship or wealth transfer concerns, which there typically are in a household where such a policy is affordable. Hybrid policies also answer the concern about unused benefits. Actuarially, this isn't an issue, but when one is paying large sums and never needs the benefit, it's nice to know that this money doesn't go down the drain.

Why should Tax Paying US citizens pay for the enemy's (Congress) Health Care
