Can Young Drivers Get Insurance For Classic Cars?

I've been looking around, and none of the insurance websites i have been on are very clear...
I am a 17 y/o girl, and would like to drive a classic beetle. Is it possible to get insurance on classic beetles as a young driver? If so, where? Is classic car insurance cheaper than normal car insurance?

Answer: You can get classic car insurance at any age, but here is the catch,
You MUST have a regular car insured on a regular policy to get specific classic car insurance.
You may not use a classic car to drive to work etc.
I have had classic cars since i was a kid and currently have 3 insured through "silver wheels"
and a separate policy with a regular insurance company.
And yes classic car insurance is cheaper than regular insurance, but the classic car usually has to be appraised every 3 years to keep your coverage.

basically i was told that classic car insurance is dead cheap and im a first time driver at the age of 18 and was wounderung how mcuh it would cost?, what cars are eligable ? and is this a cheaper option
also my favorite car is vw golf mk 2 gti would this car be eligable for this insurance seen as tho it is quite an old car

Answer: One of the reasons for cheaper rates on Classic vehicles is that there are restrictions on when you can drive them. Most companies only allow travel to and from auto shows as a covered time-line.

Where Is A Good Place To Get Classic Car Insurance That Will Let Me Commute - Not Only Use The Car For Shows?

Most insurance that I'm looking into for classic cars are not willing to insure your car if you commute to work and school. They only want to insure cars that are used in shows, parades, etc. I will not drive my car every single day to work...maybe a few times during the week. I bought the car to enjoy it, not let it sit in the garage!

Answer: I would suggest that you have your car appraised and then insure it on a stated value policy through a mainstream insurance company. Ask your insurance agent about stated value policies to see of they have them available.

Insurance Rates On Classic Sports Cars For New Drivers?

obviously, insurance rates are higher for new drivers and even more so if they drive a sports car, but aren't rates lower on classic cars? if so does the reduction make up for the car being a sports car? for example, a 1965 Ford Mustang.

Answer: Classic cars are worth a lot and therefore the insurance would be high. Sports cars have high insurance too. So do new drivers. 3 things that cause high insurance combined to make very high insurance.

Is Classic Car Insurance Better For A 1984 Corvette Or Regular Car Insurance?

im planning on getting a 1984 corvette but the insurance for it is a little too high.i just found out about classic car insurance but i really don't know much about it.but for classic car insurance,am i limited to a certain number of things like how far i can drive my car,when i can drive,etc?will the insurance actually be less or more for classic car insurance?and what is the best classic car insurance company i should go with?

Answer: I would go with the Classic Car Insurance because other wise you might not get as much as you want for your car if it is ever totaled or stolen. I know some classic car insurance is stated amount & regular insurance is ACV (Actual Cash Value)
