Does Uninsured Motor Insurance Cover Damage To A Car In North Dakota? |
My car was hit in a parking lot, and the person who hit me cannot be found. I want to know if my uninsured/underinsured coverages covers body damage. I only have liability insurance. Is it worth reporting a claim, will my insurance cover getting my car fixed?
| Answer: Who do you have insurance with? Contact your local agent and just say "I was wondering if my car gets hit in a hit and run, if my current insurance would cover that?" If they say yes, it would cover, then tell them "Okay, then I have a claim." If they say "No," Just say, "Okay thanks!" and hang up. Edit: Foshizel is wrong, in ND all you need is liability coverage. I do not keep collision on one of my vehicles because it's only worth about $600. The liability is to pay for the other guys car if you get in a collision. |
