Dogs are English Mastiffs one is on expensive pain pills that cost over $100 a month. They are all over 200 pounds so vet bills are quite expensive,would also like insurance to cover routine exams & flea & heartworm meds.

Almost all of them have a multi-pet discount. You are going to be out of luck for the pre-exisiting conditions. None of the insurance companies that I looked at will cover pre-existing. The most common pet insurance is VPI. Some other good ones are SPCA pet insurance, Pets Best, and Embrace. All insurance companies have an add-on option for routine care such as exams and vaccines. You will pay around $10 extra for that per month.

I'm looking for a dog insurance type program that also covers thing like grooming's and the like. I've heard that there are some plans that provide discount and savings on food toys and treats?
Any pet plans (not like insurance) like petassure, my company offers it but they don't really have an in network places where I live.
Answer: I agree that I have never heard of a pet insurance company covering anything related to grooming, treats, food, ect. Trupanion, a pet insurance company, covers 90% of actual medical costs, and doesn't have those 'reasonable fees' that VPI has and never tells you about until you submit a claim. They also don't increase your costs as your pet ages. I would go with them.

Answer: Well we did have it for a while. But after paying hundreds in premiums, only to find out when you did need to use it you need to pay vet bill first and the submit the bills to insurance company and wait for them to decide what portion they will pay. To only receive a check for less then half of what the vet bill was, because most of the charges were not covered by Insurance we decided to just let it drop and place money in to a savings account and cal lit emergency dog fund.
I for one do not feel that it is worth what they charge.
