Any Experience Of Swift Cover Car Insurance???

I am with Diamond at present and despite being with them for 6years and having 5years NCB their renewal quote is very high. I am potentially downgrading from a 2.8 TDX 4x4 to a 1.2 SXi Corsa and the reduction is only £30!!

I looked on confused.com and Swift cover seemed to have a good rate (i know the really cheap ones on there are not so good- high excess etc). I looked on the website and it seems pretty good with only £100 excess compared to £150 with Diamond.

Has anyone used Swiftcover for insurance before and would they recommend them or not???

Answer: That's who I'm with now, and who I was with last year too. Wouldn't have gone back if I was unhappy.

Whenever I compare quotes, Swift-cover come out cheapest (although you've probably found that already!).

I've never had to claim with them, so I suppose from that point I can't say. However, whenever I've had a query, I've found their call centre staff very helpful.

(Although they don't take quotes over the phone, there is a telephone helpline so you aren't totally dependent on e-mail should you need help).

Equinox - I'd imagine the reason they are so cheap is that they've cut out expensive overheads. Cutting back

Answer: don't no about swift being best but i can say that nfu mutual is best for me and my friends and family

Cheap Car Insurance For Young And New Drivers?

I'm 21 and passed my test a couple of weeks ago. I always knew insurance was going to be an issue and I have found out it is cheaper to go on other peoples policys... but I want to get my own policy so I can get it down. I'll be getting something small, 1.1 or 1.2 for obvious reasons. The cheapest I've managed to find is about 700, thats 3rd party and with a couple of named drivers on. that was with Swift Cover. From a weekend of insurance shopping I've found that all these compare insurance websites are a load of s***. Not had any quotes below £1500. Anyway, does anyone have any tips for getting insurance down more or does anyone know of any insurance companies that specialise in insurance

Answer: Unfortunately, cheap and young new driver is mutually exclusive. And they have no choice but to paint you with the same brush as your peers, because rates are set by risk, and risk is factored by statistics. New driver, male, young all equal risk.

Do what you can on anothers policy to keep expenses down and get some experience. Don't get tickets or get into any at fault accidents, and try again in a year.

When you do try, as you found out, avoid the comparison sites on the web. Instead go talk to a local and independent agent.

Does Anyone Know A Carr Insurance Company That Quotes And Lets You Print Certificate?

i need a car insurance certificate for wed and my own insurance cant post one in time. does anyone know a web site that quotes and then lets you buy and print off a certificate? not swift cover as they wont insure my car as im only 24! thanks!!

Answer: Most brokers will give you a covernote over the counter. or if your going by phone or internet get them to fax it to you. there is no reason why any insurance company wouldnt do this.

and you dont need a covernote to collect a car or drive it, if you do get stopped by the police and they ask to see your details you get 7 days to produce certificates !

I wouldnt worry about it, i like half the uk have been driving for years and have never had to produce a document yet. Id have to get my insurance company to send me mine if i did get asked for it god only knows where it is.
