Thanks To Obamacare, Are There No More Individual Health Insurance Policies Available For Children?

I've been looking everywhere, but I cannot find any health insurance company that will write an individual health insurance policy for a child. Before Obamacare, there were hundreds of sources for individual health insurance plans for kids, now there are NONE.

Does anyone have any idea if there is anyone writing individual health insurance policies for kids?

Answer: If that is true I'm not surprised. That was the real reason for of the legislation after all. To force as many people on the " government option" as possible. A giant leap toward their goal of " single payer" ( government run and controlled) health care.
 
 

Why Did All New Individual Children's Health Insurance Policies Suddenly Become Extinct?

In the last 6 months or so, health insurance companies simply quit offering individual health insurance plans for ALL kids. They are simply not available. I thought Obama was going to fix all that, so why is it now impossible to get an individual health insurance policy for a child? Are liberals proud of this effect of Obamacare?

Answer: All is going according to plans..move over private..here comes big govt...

Have All Health Insurance Companies Quit Selling Individual Policies For Kids?

Thanks to ObamaCare, kids can no longer get health insurance on an individual plan. The companies simply quit writing new business. Now, ALL children are unable to get individual health insurance. Are any companies left offering individual health insurance for children, or did Obama assure all children will be unable to get individual health insurance coverage?

Answer: All insurance companies in my state have quit offering child only policies, as have they in all states which I'm aware. Now, to insure a child at least one parent must also be on the plan. The reason for this is healthcare reform requires insurance companies to cover all pre-existing conditions effect 9/23/10. The companies had to quit writing child only policies to keep the premium from increasing drastically. After they've had a year or so loss experience we'll see what happens.

If I Want To Get An Individual Health Insurance Policy Do I Need To Show Proof Of Prior Insurance?

I'm looking to take out an individual policy w/ Blue Cross or another provider. I last had insurance 3 months ago but not since. What will my new insurance company need from what I had in the past. Should it be okay to just tell them I had insurance w/ Aetna or will they need proof usually?

Answer: No, you don't. That prior coverage, is only "good" when you go to a new GROUP policy, and it keeps them from excluding coverage for preexisting conditions if the lapse in coverage is less than 63 days.

Your new individual policy, is allowed to exclude any coverage for preexisting conditions they want to.

Can I Reimburse Employee For Individual Health Insurance Policy Premium?

I have a side business where I employ 1 employee. I don't work at the business full time. Because it's only 1 employee I couldn't get group health insurance so he purchased an individual health insurance policy. My question is: can I reimburse him the cost of the policy and write it off as an expense? Do I need HRA for that or anything else? The business is in NJ. Thank you very much!

Answer: Yes you can use it as a tax write off.

In an agreement with the Colorado Department of Insurance (DOI), Anthem agreed to provide the credits to individuals insured by Anthem with certain individual health insurance policies from Jan. In October 2009, the Colorado DOI had approved three individual health insurance rate filings from Anthem for 2010 for individual health care policies.
