Maximum Cover At All High St Insurers £6k, Need Much More Travel Insurance. Need Specialist.?

Thanks to those who have answered already, but all general insurers have cancellation limits between £2500 and £6000 per ticket. Our tickets are more than double that value each. I need holiday travel insurance with cancellation/curtailment to value of ticket or alternative. Credit card does not cover value of cancellation also limited.

Answer: Which cruise line are you sailing with?
The insurance that P & O cruises sells which is with Fortis would cover this for you no problem.
You could always phone Fortis who are based in Eastleigh if you want advice or to deal direct.
 
 

Am Trying To Get Travel Insurance Whilst Awaiting To See A Specialist Who Will Give A Prognosis Who Does This?

I am awaiting some tests on a possible heart problem and have high blood pressure I need travel insurance in case anything goes wrong whilst waiting I am due on holiday in a copule of weeks and dont think I would have been seen before I am due to go does anyone know of any company that will cover me I have searched and searched to no avail. thanks guys

Answer: I think your doctor or the companies recommended doctors are in a position to give a prognosis certificate. The later are comparatively strict anyway you need not to worry about them. I once disqualified a person from going on to pilgrimage as he was a case of IHD+HTN + BPH, but after much intervention I allowed him to take the voyage of seven days, Pheww! and you know what; after completing his pilgrimage he was standing in front of me smiling. Imagine 7 days and 6 nights.
From that day onward I didn't rendered anybody unfit to go on pilgrimage, as all lies in HIS hands, we are just human beings.

Need Travel Insurance To Insure Cost Cruise Fares, Which More Than Max Cover.Know Any Specialist Insurers?

Once in lifetime cruise - cancellation limit on best policy so far only £6000 each ticket. Need insurance covering worldwide - normal ages, just high ticket value. Please help!

Answer: Go with a name you can trust, and a name that is known world-wide. I suggest that you use American Express - Access America.

Do I Need Specialist Cruise Insurance For My Cruise Holiday?

I have booked to go on a cruise in a few weeks and I'm looking for insurance for this. Some websites I have tried specifically ask if it includes a cruise and some don't. Is this necessary? We are also spedning some time in Las Vegas and LA whilst traveling and wondered if i go for cruise insurance will this cover me in these places?

Answer: No, you don't need a special cruise insurance company. I have used Travelex for my insurance several times when I cruise and they will ask about your air travel and cruise travel. But once you specify the date that your trip starts and the date that your trip ends they will cover you for everything in between. I used them for a cruise to Australia and New Zealand (among other trips) and they covered my 4 days in Australia before the cruise started and a day in LA after the cruise was over. I have also filed claims with Travelex and they responded pretty quickly.

They have several level of coverage and their web site is pretty easy to use.

Travel Insurance Claim Help?

Hi there

I had to cancel my 2 week holiday on the 13th Nov because I hurt my back. I was cleaning, and bent and kinda hurt it and then I slept at my boyfriend's who has 2 mattresses on his bed and ended up in agony. It was helped by seeing the DR and getting antiimflammatories and painkillers but she agreed i was too bad to travel.

I had travel insurance and made a claim and they have written back that they have a problem with the following and need more informationl;

1. I slipped a disc in my back in Oct 2008, and saw a specialist. My last check up was in jan 09. my Dr has confirmed it is nothing to do with the slipped disc and not caused by

Answer: Travel Insurance does not cover you for incidents relating to a pre-existing condition. If your Doctor states that the back injury was accidental and not related to the previous disc problem, then that should be enough to satisfy the Insurer. If they want more information then you need to find out exactly what it is they need to know and supply that information.
I don't understand what point you are trying to make in paragraph 2! Some insurers insist that the policy has to be taken out at around the same time as the trip is booked. If your policy states this but you didn't do that then you may not be covered. Check the terms and conditions of your policy and do not be afraid to ring the
