Do New Cars Have Temporary 30-day Insurance?

I just bought a pre-owned car from a dealer. I am able to drive it yet? I've heard that once someone buys a car from a dealer, there is a 30-day temporary insurance.

Answer: If you purchased the insurance on your car, you have insurance. You need to keep paying the premiums to keep the insurance. You get a temporary ID card when you sign up for the policy. This is good until the policy is issued with the permanent ID card (which is good for the policy term).
I am not sure what you mean by "temporary insurance". If you think you have insurance on the vehicle BEFORE you purchase a policy, you do NOT.
In order to have coverage extend to a vehicle, you would have had to have a policy on a prior vehicle that is still in force when you purchase another vehicle. Then, you get temporary coverage for 4-14 days (depending on the state, coverages,
