Does Anyone If A Pregnant Female In California Can Buy Medical Insurance And From Who?

My wife and I do not currently have medical insurance and the other day realized we are expecting a little one. Can insurance companies deny you because she is pregnant before buying insurance. This is our first little one and any help you could give would be appreciated. Thanks

In Canada there is free healthcare. Then why there are medical insurance plans available, and why do people buy them? What for Canadians need medical plan, if they have healthcare for free.

Answer: Our O-Hips don't cover everything, we get medical insurance to cover dental, drug, chiropractor, eyes and out of country insurance

Why Did Blue Cross Say I Can't Buy Medical Insurance For My Daughter Who Is In Therapy For Anxiety?

My husband might be laid-off soon. After COBRA runs-out, we'd need to buy medical insurance. I called Blue Cross for a quote and they said they would not provide ANY medical coverage for my 14-year old daughter who sees a psychiatrist for anxiety and who takes prescription medicine for the anxiety. Are there any insurance companies who will cover her for medical (not just the therapy, but for all medical)? I'm stunned.

Can Illegal Immigrants Buy Medical Insurance?

I don't have medical insurance, and I just went to the doctor yesturday because I injured my knee, I had to pay for the cost up front, and i have to say it was really pricey. Is it possible for me to buy insurance through a particular company, I do a lot of sports and i don't want to risk breaking a bone or something worse without having insurance. . .

Answer: MCS - sorry for the uninformed people before me. Yes you can buy health insurance depending on the company. If you have a W7 you may have a better chance getting a better company. It isn't cheap and if you have a company that has group health they may be able to help you that way. I have seen several that have good coverage and low deductibles. Assurant health is a good company and so is Blue Cross and Blue Sheild. Good luck in finding some insurance. I wish many more illegals had that ability.

Do You Think It Is Constitutional For The Government To Require Us To Buy Medical Insurance ?

I did not think that the Constitution allows for the government to require individuals to purchase anything (and penalize them with a fine if they do not). I don't know how it is a good thing to require everyone to pay $5000+ to buy insurance, especially if they cannot afford it or pay a fine of 2.5% of their annual income... I have insurance through work, so it does not affect me, but those who are self employed are going to go through some serious hardships because of this.
