How Much Of A Discount A Small Group Employer Get On My Health Insurance?

If I was quoted $1100 a month for individual health insurance (Premera Blue Cross) buying it myself would my small employer get a big discount if they buy it for me. How much roughly would he pay?

Answer: Group plans are fundamentally different from individual plans. An employer can "shop around" for quotes from several health insurers based on the size of it's "group." This is what commercial insurance brokers do. The employer is not going to buy the same individual plan you were offered.

Group Health Insurance For Business. Help With Costs!?

Hi, I am writing a business plan for a business I want to start soon and I wanted to include the cost of health insurance to my budget.

However, insurance companies ask for information I don't yet have when they write up a quote.

I only needed an approximate number since this is just a preliminary budget so I was wondering if someone here would know the cost of health insurance for a small start up business with 4 partners (no employees at this point. Unless you consider all 4 of us employees)

Any other tips about setting up group health insurance for business will be greatly appreciated.
I am looking for estimates only, nothing definite.

Answer: You fell prey to the spammers (lifeplanz & ebiznus); hope you didn't click on anything when you got on those websites.

Lisa gave you figures that will suffice. If you want a closer idea what the costs may be in your area you can go back on ehealth, do an individual quote for each partner (including families if necessary). Pick the highest priced $1000 deductible plan, add those 4 quotes together, and then add 20% if it's two males and two females or 40% if all four of you are female. If any of you have pre-existing conditions add another 15%. That should give you a ballpark figure.

Many insurance companies will write a group policy for as few as 2. However,

Im Pregnant (high Risk)and Don't Have Health Insurance?

Last January I gave birth to a 1lb baby girl ( at 24 weeks) and unfortunately she was too small for the doctors to even try to save her :( Now I am pregnant again and I don't have health insurance and I'm very scared. I've tried to get some online quotes for health plans but they only cover pregnancy after the deductible is paid throughout the year which is from $5000-$10000. And obviously no one will cover me now that I'm pregnant already. I just moved to Texas from the East coast and I don't even know how to begin to file for anything like medicaid because I don't even have a TX drivers license or anything yet. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Answer: health-quotes.talk4fun.net - try this one. My sister had no problem with her insurance coverage while being pregnant.

Pregnant In NJ And Do Not Have Health Insurance.?

My husband and I live in NJ and do not have health insurance. I stay home with three preschoolers and my husband is selftemployed (he started his small business a year ago). We are not low income family, but a quoted insurance of $850 per month sounds really taxing. I just found out that I am pregnant. My husband is panicking and wants to leave his business and get employement with health insurance. I will feel too sorry if he does that. I read vaginal delivery costs about $12,000. What should we do???

Answer: Try healthy mothers healthy babies or planned parenthood you should be able to get help from them good luck and god bless you and your family (ask them what you can do)

Health Insurance Coverage When Moving Out Of State.?

I am planning on moving from Wisconsin to Laughlin, Neveda and need to find credible health insurance coverage before I can get picked up by a group plan through employment in my new location.

I'm currently covered under a group HSA through my employer but work for a small company under 10 people so I will not be covered under COBRA. I know that Wisconsin has state continuance insurance when you leave a job but it is not portable to another state. To make things more difficult I'm Type I Diabetic so I know getting individual coverage is near impossible.

There seems to be some kind of protection under HIPPA law, but I'm unable to find where to go to find a quote

Answer: HIPPA laws state you are guaranteed coverage but the premium can be 3 to 4 times the "normal" premium. The only way to get it is to apply. You will need to contact an independent agent in Nevada. This person will know the companies that are available in your new state and will be able to assist you in getting on a plan.

You will need to contact your current carrier and get a "letter of credible coverage" which you will present to the new company. The new company will have to underwrite you so as to establish a proper premium so make sure you have all information regarding past doctor visits, such as what was done and name, address and phone number of current
