I'm trying to rent a Ferrari, but esurance doesn't cover any cars worth more than 150,000. Are there any insurance companies that can cover rented exotic cars?
note: the rental car company will not provide insurance for this car - thanks!
Answer: are there no Lamborghinis? they should be cheaper and way more outrageous, I rented one for one night and the girls just threw themselves at it, pretty sad in a way but I was well happy.
The insurance was included in the $600 bill.
Where Can I Get Exotic Car Insurance? I Tired Everywhere And Still NO LUCK. Need Immediate Help.?
Question by Terrence B | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Answer: Well, it depends on your circumstances and how the car will be used. If you have ALL your insurance with Chubb, they don't balk at adding an exotic car - but they won't do one by itself.
The best thing is to talk to a large, local independent agency. They'll be able to get coverage for you. But it won't be immediate - they'll need info from you like driving history, etc, and they'll have to submit info on the car, including photos, to carriers.

like a lamborghini or ferrari or porsche?
Answer: Its according to age, I had a 15 yr old Ferrari and it was cheap through Hagerty($1500). Most exotics will not be as expensive as you think. You can get collector insurance, however you're only allowed a certain number of annual mileage(approx 2,500 per yr). If its a daily driver, I'm not sure what it would cost...Its really not the insurance, but the maintenance on these cars that can kill you.

My car ---an exotic sports model--- was damaged in a parking lot collision tonight. (My car was parked and struck by a guy who wasn't looking ahead.) Even if a 100% repair can be effected, the value of the car will be forever diminished because of the car's blemished history. People who buy these cars simply will not pay top dollar if the history shows any sort of collision repair. Of course the other guy's insurance is not going to want to give me an extra few grand to cover my eventual loss. What can I do to be covered? Would I have to sue for something like that? (Or CAN I, or SHOULD I...) As it is, I think my car loses AT LEAST $5,000, maybe $10,000 at resale (even with a perfect repair).
Answer: I work insurance...his insurance will pay for repairs to fix the damage done to your car, not a decrease in value due to the car's now "blemished" history. Getting his his insurance to cover it with anything other than a lawsuit would be pretty hard, and even then, you would probably only end up with a fraction of the amount the car's value decreased by
