How does it work? How do they pay you?

they found no damp and i moved in last december.

Answer: It depends on the type of survey carried out...

Standard mortgage valuation - cheapest solely for lenders assessment of the suitability of your property. You have no legal comeback. Will only note things that would affect the properties suitability as security. 1-3 pages

Home buyers valuation - more expensive and more in depth will look at and identify quite a bit. Can be brochure thickness but still has very little legal comeback.

Full structural survey - most expensive, will cove everything and the valuer would be liable.

Unless you have a structural report carried out, sorry to say, you've got no legal comeback.

About Mahindra Bolero Car Accident Insurance Claim?

I have purchase Bolero Car in March 2009 ( 8 Months ago) with insurance of United India.which is given by showroom itself (Nashik city) Now the car having accident & having chassis to engine foundation weld joints is broken. Insurance surveyor is not agreed with change of Chassis.He recommended to repair by welding but showrrom does not give any warrenty after welding. Please suggest

Answer: The shop is probably lobbying for a full frame rail replacement. Which can be expensive. If the manufacturer recommends the rail be replaced. The insurance company has to comply, or total the vehicle. The dealer will not warranty because the insurance company is suggesting they do an improper repair. Call your lawyer.

And quit driving our recycled Buick's!

Building Insurance To Repair Boundary Wall?

i had the front of the house boundry wall knocked by a car yesterday, ive called the building insurance, theyl send out for a surveyor to look at the wall and tell me how much it will cost. how much do think i will get?
will my payments go up next year for the building insurance premium?

Answer: We have no idea how much you will get.

We can't see your wall to write an estimate on it.

Will your payments go up next year? Again, we can't answer that either. We don't know what your company will do. Your best source of information is your agent. He may be able to give you an idea what would happen with your premium.

In general - your building insurance will pay for the damage to your building (per the terms of your policy). Then they will subrogate (go back against the cars policy for repayment). They will ask for the amount they paid and your deductible. Once they get paid, they forward your deductible to you.

Motot Insurance Claim Problem?

Answer: Go to the showroom and explain the dilemma. It's the insurance company that they recommended! So tell them that you will not void your warranty but at the same time you want your car repaired and since they are the ones that insured you with them, ask for suggestions. Be firm but not abusive. They may tell you to go to another repairer but let them know that if they plan to work with said insurance company they need to have their rules & regulations interweaving together.
