What Would Happen If Health Insurance Only Covered Emergencies, Long Term Health Care, And Senior Care?
Question by itsaGuy | Posted in Insurance
Isn't insurance supposed to be money put into company on the risk that you might need help on a medically related major expense?
In today's American society, Health Insurance is no longer a program used to pay for major medical expenses, it's used to cover EVERY MEDICAL EXPENSE. Today, one pays an insurance company to pay all their medical bills, and pays a premium on top of their insurance payment.
That drives the cost of all medical expenses up, as now medical providers can get a bunch of money from institutions that pay, instead of 'customers.' But when the uninsured come, they don't have that institution to pay for them, and must pay the same price... and put
Answer: I think your logic is, well, illogical. You fail to take account of the MANY, MANY AND GROWING number of legitimate, incurable but not fatal conditions in which sufferers languish for years unable to earn a living. You take no account at all for the treatment of mental illness, which form the bulk of disbility claims ... George Dubya would sure love you.

Why Is Obama Trying To Take Health Care Away From Senior Citizens?
Question by Fred W | Posted in Politics
His health care bill cuts health care for the elderly, (people that have worked hard all of their life) but makes sure that people that are too lazy to work have health insurance
Answer: What, it took you since June to finally figure out what the Dems/Libs and the Social Elite of the PrezBo circle know what is best for us. They think we are too stupid and that we must have guidance and the best way to cut billions from medicare is to let the old people die. Then they will give this neat little insurance card to lazy loafers and when they really go to use it, there will be no more doctors. But that's okay, the chosen one and his followers will be sure to have your best interest at heart......NOT.
Wake up! The idiots are running this nation into the ground while other countries (china being one of them) are really out of recession, thriving and doing better
Why Are Seniors Denied A Health Care Choice? Medicare, Or A Government Voucher For Private Health Insurance?
Question by Liberal LIAR and Hypocrite | Posted in Politics
@Good Old Willie
Wow, that's a very well thought out answer.
Answer: Look, the liberals are already lying that the plan is to destroy medicare. so to offer them a choice would be spun into no choice, of all bad choices and you're out!
The republicans want to keep the promise made to those on Medicare ra are about to be on it. WITHOUT going to the Chi-coms for another few trillion. so something has to be done, and to eliminate the government's hand in it and let private insurance take over for it has worked out really well for Medicare Advantage, why not let them take over the whole damed thing?
Of course the ONLY way it WILL work is the full repeal of Obama-care.
How Would You Feel About A President Who Takes Away Health Care Benefits From Senior Citizens?

Because if you don't like it, don't vote for Obama, Obama wants to cut funding for Medicare Advantage plans and that means that millions of seniors will have to either pay more, by subscribing to a Medicare Supp that will cost them between $2,000 and $3,000 per year, per person. Or just give up the many health care benefits they now have in their Medicare Advantage plan.
Obama said he wants to cut funding for Medicare Advantage plans, Wednesday night in the first 10 minutes of the debate.
HE ALSO HAS IT IN HIS PLAN, ON HIS WEB SITE. ITS ON PAGE 5
Answer: Obama's plan is universal healthcare. Do you know what it is Ask Canadians and they will tell you they come to the U.S. for their healthcare. Also, our daughter and her husband travelled to Italy a few months ago. He became ill. They went to the local E.R., waited over 3 hours, it was packed, most patients were finally attended to for about 3 minutes, and then released, our son-in-law finally got in, saw a nurse, not a Dr., no text taken, was told he had strep, and to take Tylenol. Some service, huh? Italy has universal healthcare. Is this what you want. I certainly don't.
