Travel Insurance?

I'm travelling from Australia to the UK in a few weeks time, for about 4 months. I am completely set up over there already as I lived there in 2007. I am short on cash and wanted to weigh up travel insurance options... I am covered for general medical etc but not things like accidents. Some people have suggested I get insurance for the first week or so in case I lose my luggage, and leave it at that, because I'll be covered by the health system once I get there. Is this a crazy idea? Obviously it is better to be insured but I really don't have much money and won't have any until I arrive there... Thanks.

Answer: you would have less money if you were delayed or lost your luggage and had to deal with that. Three years ago if someone asked me if they should invest in travel insurance I would said no. Today, it goes without saying.

Travel Insurance Options?

I’ll be traveling to Mexico in about two weeks and I am considering getting travel insurance. I read this article, http://www.travelmore4less.com/travelins urance/ and wanted to know more about it.

If I were to get travel insurance, what would be covered? Has anyone ever purchased travel insurance and actually had to file a claim? If so, how was the process?

Answer: I've never purchased travel insurance but I've always seen the offers. I'm interested in this myself.

Best Travel Insurance For My Trip To UK?

I'm taking a trip to United Kingdom next months(I live in the US) and I want to the what's the best travel insurance option available.
The main thing I need coverage for is medical expenses and baggage. (My $1000 camera was stolen from my bag last time when I went to Paris)

I don't mind pay a bit extra for policy from a RELIABLE company, too many bad insurance companies out there.

Any recommendations?

Answer: I've found that if you go online you can get some real good Travel Insurance deals but be sure to read the small print first before you chose one.

Travel Insurance?

I'm flying with Midwest and when I booked my flight they gave me an option of purchasing travel insurance. I didn't think I needed it at the time, but now I'm not so sure. Can anyone tell me if this is something I should get or not. If it makes any difference I'm not flying internationally.

Answer: With all the delays of travel, more of the burden of these extra expenses is being passed on to us by the airline carriers. You may not need alot of coverage, but it is not a bad idea to consider some protection. The more vauable and important your trip, the more you should consider covering it with travel insurance.

I've been travelling for many years and I use travelex.
