okay here is all the info im trying to figure out my best avenues to handle my situation. i live in illinois. my 2007 chrysler 300 touring has been stolen. it has an immobilizer. on the 17th of january 2011 my wife tried to move the car and could not get it out of the snow and ice. she called and said she needed my help. but i was not due to be back off base til the 19th when i did get back we noticed the car was gone i had told her to wait until we file a report because i called around and wanted to see if it has been towed, but i called my insurance company that day to give them a heads up. the next day jan. 20th after finding no tow lot had it i made the police report. the car was found about
| Answer: For the same car to be stolen twice in 7 months really puts out big "red flags". Most people in their lifetime never ever has a car stolen, but this same car in such a short period is unbelievable. I commend you for having full coverage on your car but sometimes that also puts out red flags since many people who have had a lot of claims will do this to make sure they have all their bases covered. Expect to complete numerous forms and recorded statements from this insurance company. They will be looking for anything that does not make sense or if you lie anywhere. Disability Discrimination Case Questions? |
I'm about to file a complaint of discrimination against my employer. Have sent an email into the EEOC, asking for further info, will call on Monday when they open.
Situation is this (sorry it's long, tried to stick to just the facts):
Hired as contract work, 20-30 hours a week, driving and setting up events for catering.
Worked for a month or two, was going great, boss was talking about getting me benefits, and having me be solely in charge of the driving. Added to insurance, all that.
Had a seizure on the job. Was checked out medically, no epilepsy, no diabetes, zero cause to think i'd have another. Fault was thought to be bad diet,
| Answer: I believe you have a case. It doesn't have to be proven that you have a disability or not. The fact that they're changing your hours and job, because they think you have one, IS the issue. MNwomen has no idea what she's talking about. Go for broke. Ask for a lot of money, then settle for less if offered. |

Husband Getting Out Of Marines...? |
My husband is getting out of the Marines after four years. He's been to Iraq and now in Afghanistan. Been shot in the face and i guess to hell and back. He's getting out come November, and I can't blame him. I'm just worried about our finances. I don't have a degree or even a talent in anything. We don't have kids, so that helps. But we just bought a new car in Jan. because we thought he was staying in. He changed his mind b/c his co. was sent to Afghanistan with only 2/3 weeks notice, and was supposed to go on a MEU. | Answer: First, thank you and your husband for the sacrifice you have given us. Second, when he gets out, he should qualify for unemployment, you can check online now and see how that looks. Third, when he gets out, he will run through the VA and depending on what all they find, he will qualify for disability, that will be tax free money. What you can do now is check with the Family Support Center and see if they have any job listings, why wait for him to come home to get a job (it sounds like you aren't working right now). Also check on Craigslist as there are always lots of jobs posted there. I know that receptionist earn $10 an hour here in San Antonio. Good |
