Is My Insurance Valid In Germany If I Have A Crash?

I have a British car and will be driving through Germany to Austria for my ski holiday.I was told that to drive in Germany you must have winter tyres. I do not have them although in heavy snow I put on my chains.I was told that should I crash in Germany my insurance will be invalid.Is this true?

Answer: You need to read your policy. The coverage territory, is clearly spelled out, in your policy.
 
 

Starting A New Holiday Business...?

I am currently in the process of setting up a holiday business. To explain it very briefly, it is basically a service that arranges budget ski holidays for groups of college/university students and provides an experienced guide, ski-tutor and point-of-contact from start to finish.
The question I want to ask is what do I need to do from a legal point of view, do I need to have special insurance, do I need to be registered as a member of some sort of organisation, is there anything else I should take into consideration or anything else I must have?

Answer: Off the top of my head you will need Public Liability insurance. Also, you will need to become accredited so you can offer holiday insurance to your customers (important as ski holidays are 'high risk')

If your in the UK you could contact ABTA for all the advice you will need.

Teaching My Boyfriend To Ski?

First I should say i'm a qualified ski instructor with the CSIA, and have full ski instructors insurance from them.

My boyfriend has never skiied before and is desperate to learn. He wants me to teach him before we go on a holiday on a dry ski slope/snow dome. However many of the websites of these slopes say that only their qualified ski instructors should hold lessons on these slopes. is this just a financial ploy so that you pay extra for their services? Also do you think they would get upset if they caught me subtly trying to teach him?

Answer: Tell him that if he doesnt learn, no sex for two weeks. Trust me, ill work

Can A 16 Year Old Go On A Skiing Holiday Just With His Friends (also 16)?

Answer: I am a UK travel agent.

Many of the charter airlines operating from the UK will not take such a party unless at least one of them is 17. The policy varies from airline to airline . Winter Sports insurance is not a problem, nor is accommodation.

Public Liability Insurance Inbulgaria?

i manage holiday apartments in bulgaria and also provide services such as ski hire and lessons. the company is bulgarian registered
. i have a booking for a scout group and have been asked what public liability i have, after extensive research and also communicating with large insurance companies in sofia it seems it is simply not available so have none.
i would like this cover, is it possible to simply set up a uk company that could get this (is this possible) and contract it to the bulgarian company?
could the uk company own the bulgarian company?
