Why Have All The Cheap Car Insurance Companies Disappeared From Go Compare?

I've finally got a car sorted and logged back into go compare for a quote and all the cheap insurers like elephant and admiral aren't there. The quotes are horrendous, any idea why?

Answer: Because those companies are scams and only offer enough protection so that they can't be shut down for fraud.

ive not yet actually got a car, but i acted like i have on these insurance compare sites, and no matter what car i (pretend) to have its coming up as over 1000 a year, im 27 female and have just passed my driving test, i have a secure drive, do you know any insurance that would give me low payments per month, for a small car dating any thing from the 90s to now, thanks, or who are you with and how much is your insurance each month and what car do you have thanks again

Answer: None of them cover all of the 200 plus companies that can quote, Confused does around 130. To be sure you have got the best deal you need to use 4 comparison sites and also contact Avviva and Direct Line who do not appear on any sites other than their own.
