does anyone know if anything can be done about this.

my brother mistakingly was driving a van uninsured (thought his insurance policy which said 3rd party on other vehicles on the internet but was worded as motorcars on the paperwork) innocent mistake.
the offence was november 08
he passed his test dec 06
and the court date was may 09 which not giving it a 2nd thought about the 2 year rule as it was ages ago pleaded guilty and got min 6 points,
couple of days later letter revoking liscence.
just seems very unfair to me

is there anyway it can be appealed or something
