I Was Wondering What The Best Options For Short-term Car Insurance Are.?
Question by Brendan | Posted in Insurance & Registration
My friends and I are going on a road trip this summer. We are buying 12 passenger van for about $1000. We plan on using the van for 2 weeks and then selling it. I live in Ontario and plan on taking the van out west to Vancouver and back. Does anyone have any suggestions for insurance? We have already looked into RBC's 30-day money back guarantee but that's a lot of money to dish out even if we are getting it back later.
Answer: Simply get a normal 6 month or 1 year policy and cancel it when you get back. You will get a refund for the unused portion.
How Should I Get To BC, Fly Or Drive?
Question by Sydnee | Posted in Vancouver
I live in between Niagara Falls and Toronto and next year i will be going to University of BC. If i fly i will have to buy all my stuff in vancouver and if i drive and can purchase my stuff i need here. people say that driving out west is very boring but i dont know if i want to fly. i dont like flying. i love driving though! if i drive, should i go through canada or should i go through the states. i know from mapquest that it takes longer to go through Canada then it does through the states. i want to see Canada but people say it is very boring!
Anyways, ust wondering what the best way is to get to Vancouver?
Also, sorry this has nothing to do with this question
Answer: Drive out there. It is a 4 day run and you go through Chicago. Stay in the US until you hit the I-5 and then turn right. If you drive north of Lake Superior you will soon start to have seeing trees hour after hour. Just make sure you go to a travel agent to get US trip insurance for the days you are going through the USA in case you have an accident. Because OHIP will not cover full US medical costs. This will cost you a lot less than what you will save on gas driving through the US instead.
As for buying stuff, the only stuff you want to take is what you already own. The car and the rest. Stuff you do not already have, just buy there. The prices are not that much higher
