I'm 18 weeks pregnant, I've applied for medicaid (I called them to follow up on my application...and they said it could be another month). I don't have any insurance, but I need prenatal care.
Any suggestions?
Answer: Actually I have two suggestions. First suggestion is don't listen to Kelley because she's no help. Second suggestion is to try an Agape clinic. My mom's a nurse and I heard her mention it once. Here's a link:

I'm 18 weeks pregnant. The last time I saw the doctor was when I was 8 weeks. I don't have the money or insurance anymore. I'm still waiting on medicaid. Any ideas where I can get prenatal care?
Answer: Call 211, they can help you so much. Also get on WIC and Food Stamps if you can. Medicaid in Texas covers midwives in hospitals, I just gave birth in Baylor Hospital downtown Fort Worth 8 months ago with a midwife.
You should have been able to get emergency medicaid so you could see a doc right away. Go back up to your local Food Stamp/Medicaid Office and get one of the supervisors to sign an emergency Medicaid Card. If you really want to get in somewhere soon try my midwife, Nancy Jo Reedy 817-922-1100, they always got me in soon when I was worried about something.

I didn't get the chance to get braces when I was a child, and now, I'd really like to get braces. However, I just moved to Texas about a year ago so I don't know much about any dentists in my area. I live in Arlington, and I am going to be soon acquiring dental insurance. I need to find, primarily, a great orthodontist with decent prices, as I am a full-time college student and would be paying whatever insurance doesn't out of my earnings from my job, which aren't too much.
I've heard of fast braces, but I've also heard some not so great things about them and therefore need a recommendation for a solid doctor with a good reputation.
Answer: I was quoted $4500 for mine, But only paid $2200 because of this great plan I have. Then worked out a dental plan with the orthodontist to make it affordable for me while I was in college. Answer: When you appiled for medicaid they should have given you a list of free clinics that will see you while you wait for medicaid, you should give them a call and ask or check on google for all free clinics in your area.

Answer: I would suggest not going with the cheapest. The saying "you get what you pay for" is especially true when you have a homeowner claim.
