Is It Legal For My Employer To Make Me Take An Individual Health Insurance Policy Instead Of Company Policy?
Question by kmcbridem | Posted in Insurance
they want me to pay for my own health insurance and them reimburse me for it. Because they said it is cheaper. Can they do that legally?
Answer: It depends on what they are offering other employees.
An employer does not legally have to provide health insurance at all. However, if they offer it to employees, they have to offer the same plan to all employees. They can offer you whatever they want to as long as everyone is getting offered the same thing.

Question by Astana | Posted in Insurance
Which health insurance companies are best, is it wise to buy policy from any of the companies which are listed there or registered with IRDA or we should keep certain things or criteria in mind? So that we should not feel sorry or guilty after buying or dealing with these in the need hour. THANKS
Answer: Most health policies cover only hospitalisation . Go for a policy from a PSU like The New India Assurance Co. The service might not be the best , but claim settlements are better than the private players.
Which Individual Health Insurance Policy Do You Have?
Question by Deans | Posted in Insurance
We are a family of 4. I am at level 2 because of my weight, but all is well with all of our health. I am 32, husband is 29, kids are 3yrs and 8 months. Currently we pay $798.00 a month for top of the line health coverage from Anthem Blue Cross. It is a PPO. We'd REALLY like to get a plan that's much cheaper, but has both maternity and prescription coverage. We live in VA. What plan do y'all have? Is it good? Is it expensive?
Answer: You're dreaming. $798 / month for a top-notch PPO plan with Anthem Blue Cross is spectacular.
But, if you want to save money, then switch to a high-deductible plan combined with a health savings account. Fund the health savings account, and you'll do better.
Under Obamacare, Where Can I Get An Individual Health Insurance Policy For My Kids?
Question by Cargo Pilot II | Posted in Politics
President Obama promised that under Obamacare, no child will ever again be turned down for insurance coverage. That's true, because thanks to Obamacare, insurance companies simply quit writing individual health insurance policies for kids.
Since Obamacare, my family plan has had 5 rate increases and I won't be able to make the January 15th premium. I can't afford Obamacare anymore, since we're down to food, shelter and heat as priorities. Thanks to Obamacare, I can't afford to insure myself and I don't qualify anyway, but I need to cover my kids. Too bad child-only health insurance is not available anymore.
Since liberals are so much smarter than me, I'm asking them

Cheap Health Insurance Plan - health insurance: individual plan ...

I was recently self-employed and had a health insurance policy with a high deductible, a health savings account, and excellent coverage. Is it logical to keep my current individual health insurance while taking on the health insurance provided by my law school. My mom’s friend, who works in the insurance industry, recommends that even if I decide to take the insurance from the law school, I should keep my current insurance. He explained that if a horrible thing occurred, my law school insurance would cover me, but when I graduate it would become difficult to find a new insurance plan that would cover a preexisting condition....
