What's The Best Way To Shop For Life Insurance Or Car/home Insurance? Can Using A Software Program Help Best?

I want to know if Suzi Orman's "finding the right insurances" software programs are worth it and if there are any other similar programs that compare or exceed expectations for a person wanting financial freedom.

Answer: Suzi Orman's program is a good program. It probly will not find quotes for you on which companies has the lowest premium. What it will do is help you figure out what types of insurance are best for you.

So, yes it is a good program. But it is something that you might not need if you have an honest insurance agent to sit down with and discuss your needs and an agent that knows their stuff. Because it is hard to find a good agent who is honest and knows their stuff, it is a good idea to get her program to educate yourself.
 
 

What Motor Insurance Rating Software/ Systems Can I Get Off The Shelf? Which Are The Best.?

I am looking for a software / system that automatically generates premiums rates or values after inputting the various variables like age of car, distance travelled, age of driver, No Claim Bonuses , Residential areas and all stuff that affect rating.

Something similar to what the Insurance Call Centres use to give Insurance Quotes online.
I am actually looking for the software that brokers and insurance companies use for use in our insurance company so I would like to get names of software suppliers who supply off the shelf.

Answer: There are websites you can go to to input the information and have quotes presented to you, but if you're looking for something you can download to your computer at home then you'd be looking like rating software that insurance brokers/agents use. This software costs several thousands of dollars and you have to show the company that you have a contract to sell insurance for the insurers you want the rates for.

Insurance Software Regulatory Compliance. Are There Any?

my company developed a new software for insurance companies and it integrates as a front end of the core system.
are there any regulations on the software and systems that this type of software must comply with?

in other words can an insurance company implement any software in their system? or must that software by in any regulatory compliance?

Answer: As long as it is not for use with the public, they would only need to pass their own internal compliance. it the public interacts with it, it is considered marketing materials, and each states department of insurance must should review it before it's published.

Insurance Software...MISYS???

Has anyone heard of MISYS? And if they have, have you got any tips how to work out the MTA's? And how to remember how to do them? I've just started a job at an insurance brokerage and its hard!

Answer: I have never used MISYS, but as far as remembering to do something ... I use my Outlook and set up pends in there. You can set up by time of day as well as day of the week. It works well for me.

However, most contractors that do insurance repair work have the same programs. The easiest thing for a homeowner to do is have their contractor put together an estimate for the repairs. If there is a price difference from the adjusters estimate - then the contractor and adjuster will work it out - or you can just send the contractor estimate to the adjuster to review.
