How Many Members Of The House Can The Insurance Lobby Buy?
Question by G | Posted in Politics
I say 19 (they must be saving money for the Senate?):
What do you say?
On Wednesday, the House okayed legislation that would strip health insurance firms from an antitrust exemption Congress granted them 65 years ago.
The vote was 406 to 19. All nay votes came from Republicans. House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) who voted the package while House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) voted yes in a rare split for the GOP leadership team. Other lawmakers voting no were Reps. Steve Buyer (R-IN), Todd Tiahrt (R-KS), Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI), Paul Ryan (R-WI), Tom Price (R-GA), Ron Paul (R-TX), Jerry Moran (R-KS), John Linder (R-GA), Doug Lamborn (R-CO),
Answer: Once again providing proof that the House Republicans (as well as the Senate GOP) continues to put party/ambition/power over country/citizens.

Answer: First of all -- he was PART of the Problem with Sub-Primes ...
Secondly -- this Sub-Prime crisis is there BECAUSE of the fact that the CLINTON presidency 'relaxed' financial oversight .. which caused the loosening .. which caused the bubble -- and now .. it is the average American that is paying the PRICE ... not the wealthy and privileged (like Obama and Clinton).
Thirdly -- The voting public needs to ask OBAMA if he UNDERSTANDS the functions, roles, and responsibilities of the LEGISLATIVE Branch (which he is currently a member of) .. and since he can't understand that FUNCTION .. how in the world can one expect him to understand what exactly are the functions,
Democrat Rips Barney Frank Bill As 'TARP On Steroids,' Do You Agree?
Question by The fed up matthew™ | Posted in Politics
Lawmakers from both parties are attacking a White House proposal that would grant the federal government sweeping powers to wind down financial firms – an authority one Democrat derided as “TARP on steroids.”
With Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner listening in a House hearing room, bailout-weary lawmakers are spending Thursday morning picking apart a proposal by Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) that seeks to grant this “resolution authority” to the government, similar to the authority the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has over U.S. banks that become insolvent.
“Let’s not adopt ‘TARP on steroids,’” Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) said in a release
Answer: Barney Frank belongs in a mental institution. How on Earth we ever let such a morally bankrupt beast hold any type of office is beyond me.

What does the Tribe need to do to get back to the post- season in 09?... injuries ravished any hopes last season, but they look healthy (expect Westbrook) and ready to again contend for division prominance. What do they do with Shoppach/Garko?.... Does Peralta move to third and AC to short?...
My opinion-
Pass on Hoffman, too old and Fuentes too expensive and too streaky at times, stick w/ J-Lew and maybe get a Kevin Gregg- type insurance policy.... That could be a solid pen w/ J-Lew, Raffy L, Raffy R, Gregg and Adam Miller.
Try to get Garrett Atkins. Will prob only cost us Franky or Ben and a mid- level pitching prospect (Chuck Lofgren)

Answer: Why did you post this question in here???
Well I happen to be a big fan of Garko, Shoppach and Pronk.
I really don't like Sizemore. Every game I went to he seemed to always get out. He is good for the occassional home run. But he is pretty stuck up and a man whore. And everyone gives him too much attention. We went to a game where they were acting like it was the old days, and didn't use a speaker to announce anything. Yeah, they didn't announce Grady's name, he batted, got out, and what do you know? No one knew he was up and it was silent. Which shows they only like him for his looks. I knew he was up. But the people who didn't just came to watch his butt, not the game.

Alright... Here's the crackdown: I'm 14 years old, and over this coming summer, I'm going to get a job so that next deer season, I can afford to buy myself my rifle, ammunition, and other various hunting gear? Can anyone tell me what kind of rifle would be good for deer hunting? I only like .270 rifles, and I would prefer it to have a wooden stock, and be very reliable/accurate. Price isn't too much of a factor, just as long as it doesn't take my dad's life insurance policy to afford it! Any help would be very appreciated. Also, what kind of cleaning kit would be the best and what kind of hunting backpack would hold a lot of my gear? Thanks... -Garrett
Answer: excellent choice picking 270
Now, for brands, the big ones are Remington 700, Ruger 77, and Savage 11 and 14.
But basically, all those rifles are going to be quite similar. Buy which one feels best to you, which one is on sale, whatever. The BIGGEST factor is what you choose to chamber it in, and you have already decided to chamber it in 270, which is a great selection.
Regading cleaning kit. The basic rifle kit is made by hoppes, outers, and a bunch of others. Simply choose one for .270, and you will be fine. Something like this
