If One Become NRI, Are Previous Insurance Policies Still Valid?

Lets suppose a person has take few insurance policies like LIC and other pension policies while in India. After that he/she becomes NRI but still continues his policies in India is that legal and will that be still valid?

Should such policies be maintained?

Answer: It is 100% legal. Contact your insurance agent, and let him know. He/Se will give you a form to sign stating that you are travelling abroad. You simply sign it and have peace of mind.

Can NRI (O) Opt For Investment For ULIP Insurance Products In India ?

I want to know whether any formats or application form are available on LIC of India for (downloading) for signatures. Whether there are any web links from LIC available. Remittance in terms of Indian currency from abrod or domestic funds possible.

Answer: You can do it but my advice is against ULIPs as the charges are high & these charges impect the return.

Term Insurance For An NRI From Indian Insurance Companies?

I am an NRI and would like to have a term insurance of Rs.8 lakh. I will be visiting INdia after one year. Is it possible to have this term insurance while I am here. Please let me know. My per month income is Rs.18,000 per month. I understand there are so many insurance companies now a days in INdia which offer online term insurance without any medical. ARe their any similar policies for NRIs which I can have while I am here. If yes, what will be the premium. I am 36 year old. what documents are required, please let me know. I would be grateful for your help in this matter.

Answer: Yes, You can avail term insurance as an NRI, even from the country where you live through mail order business of LIC of India which was formed by an ordinance by Government of India and a guarantee from the Govt.
No medical required depending on age, sum assured and term.

Hi I am an NRI,single ,male,39 yr old from Delhi living in Dubai.
I want a medical insurance(from India) for Rs 3-4 lakhs for myself only.
Which company can offer me as I am an NRI. i want to avail it in any dubai hospitals(when in Dubai)and Indian Hospitals when I am in India.
