Why Is Braq Obama Soo Close To Karen Ignagni, The President And CEO Of America's Health Insurance Association?

Sure she is the most powerful Lobbyist in Washington DC; but why does the Commander in Chief always seem soo close to her.. Ya'know like at his Health Care Summit she was all over him, blowing in his ear and saying throw those AMA Doctors out.

Answer: Because what she was really blowing in his ear was a calculation of the kickback he'd just earned.

Why Doesn't America Have National Health Insurance Like Canada And Cuba Do?

America is the richest country in the world, but we don't have national health insurance. Our government can afford to drop $ 1 million dollar missles on foreign countries, but people still die of preventable diseases in New York City.

Why don't we have national health insurance for all our citizens and legal residents, like Canada and Cuba do?

[and please spare me the American Medical Association propaganda about how "bad" Canada's health care system is - they can go to the doctor for free - that sounds pretty good to me!]
I already pay very high taxes (I'm a New Yorker) and I'd rather have my taxes pay for diabetes and athsma clinics in my neighborhood

Answer: Because big corporations, in this case the pharmacuetical companies, have powerful lobbyists in Washington DC that have bought and paid for OUR congressional representitives to represent their interests over the general public's. Just another example of how big corporations run the USA...Big oil, drug companies, etc.

But,as i said, why listen to a bunch of stupid Doctors over a genius like Glenn Beck?

Answer: yeah, i agree, those stupid doctors don't know a darn thing. And neither do historians or scientists for that matter. The whole country is so stupid, when will they ever realize the only three intelligent people in america are glen beck, rush limbaugh and joe wilson?

How Many Believe Tort Reform And Competition Will Lower Health Insurance Premiums?

keep these facts in mind:

Some states have rapidly rising malpractice premiums, especially in obstetrics, neurology and some surgical fields. But, on average, doctors still spend less on malpractice insurance — 3.2% of their revenue — than on rent.

Large jury awards play a limited role in causing premiums to rise, despite allegations that greedy trial lawyers and frivolous claims are to blame. Less than 2% of malpractice claims result in a winning verdict at trial, according to insurance industry estimates.

Why are malpractice insurance costs going up? The problem is two-pronged, according to research by the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Answer: Many states already have tort reform. It has not decreased insurance costs or premiums. The cost of malpractice insurance isn't linked to payouts. It is linked to their investment portfolios. When the market goes down, malpractice premiums will go up to make up the difference. Doctors must have it to practice, and the inurance companies know it. So they can charge what they want.

Insurance companies make the bulk of their profit through investment. I work for an insurance company that has homeowners and auto insurance. Our investment portfolio is where we make the most money. You pay premiums, we invest that money. It increases in value so that if you have an accident, we can pay

Do People Who Are Against Obama's Health Care Reform Think Insurance Companies Care About Them?

Health Insurance Profits Soar as Industry Mergers Create Near-Monopoly

by Mike Hall, May 27, 2009

Profits at 10 of the country’s largest publicly traded health insurance companies rose 428 percent from 2000 to 2007, while consumers paid more for less coverage. One of the major reasons, according to a new study, is the growing lack of competition in the private health insurance industry that has led to near monopoly conditions in many markets.

The report says such conditions warrant a Justice Department investigation and, says Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), provide compelling evidence of the need for a public health insurance plan option

Answer: The way to fix the monopolies is increase competition not create a government monopoly.

5-HIAA Lab Test

In some cases, a random urine sample is test, often in combination with a urine creatinine level, when a 24-hour sample cannot be taken. In order to get the most accurate results, a 24-hour urine sample should be collected due to the urine's metabolite level varying throughout the day. This test, also sometimes referred to as a serotonin metabolite test, is done to help monitor and help to diagnose carcinoid tumors. The patient should take it to where their doctor instructs when he or she instructs them to do so. There is not discomfort associated with this test.
