Answer: Denied claims and dropped policies leaving them the burden of crushing medical bill expenses.
For profit Insurance has become a fraudulent enterprise, great for minor things only. What the for profit Health Care Industry is selling is a false sense of security to those who are healthy and paying them premiums then when the person is sick and needs bills covered the companies refuse to pay the bills. The person who is ill has to fight them in court to receive the service they had been paying for while they were well and now have need of it.
The Industry makes profits decisions at the cost of people's lives.

Ok, I just got healthcare insurance. My deductible is 1200.00. What exactly does that mean? I have a "new patient" visit scheduled with a physician. Does this mean that I have to pay out of pocket for all doctor's visits up to $1200.00? How does my insurance company even know how much I have accumulated? What happens if I rarely see a physician? These are reasons I have declined insurance for many years, because I was
Answer: DO NOT PAY THE DOCTOR UP FRONT! Let them bill the insurance first. Reason being - doctors can, in theory, bill whatever they like. What they get paid by an insurance company is a completely different matter. It's called "contracted rate" = meaning, it's a prenegotiated rate that's agreed upon between the doctor and the insurance company. A cash-paying patient usually pays more. For example - my office bills $80 for a general office visit. Insurance companies pay anywhere from $15-$35, plus the copay. (which is anywhere from $5-$25 - often, the more the patient pays, the less the plan does.) Now, if someone has a plan where this visit was to go to the deductible, the insurance would

I think the original notion by Democrats was "lets drum up support for single-payer government-run universal healthcare by mandating that every American buy the worst product offered by the healthcare insurance providers".
...but at the end of the day, won't most Americans just hate Democrats?

President Obama will speak about the new health care law's immediate benefits, and a panel of experts from the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services will answer questions and provide an update on new benefits that will soon take effect. It is particularly important that we are aware of this law's impact in light of the U. S. Census Bureau's finding that the number of people with health insurance dropped for the first time in 23 years--and it was no small drop, with 1. The already-high numbers of uninsured Americans was a key reason for the Reform Movement's efforts to fix our broken health insurance system....
