Does Humana One Insurance Cover Therapy?

I am 16 years old, have my own insurance card and such. But I was wondering if Humana One Insurance covers therapy, such as going to a psychologist and such. Anyone know? Thank you so much.

Answer: It depends upon which HumanaOne insurance policy you have. They have several different plans. Also, the plans that they have are different in each state. You'll need to contact the customer service number on your card and ask them.

Some states mandate mental health coverage so in those states all Humana plans will cover the therapy. In other states with the plans that have coverage you'll have to meet the plan deductible and then pay anywhere from 0% - 50% of the charges. There is also a maximum dollar amount that the plan will pay out, then you'll be paying everything.

Answer: Like all health insurance companies, Humana has many different policies that each cover different things. They may cover therapy for one person and not another, or they may cover it for severe mental illnesses requiring a psychiatrist, but not for normal cases requiring only a psychologist. You need to find out what your specific policy, which may be different from other Humana policies, covers, and whether your condition qualifies.

Does Any One Have Humana Health Insurance?

If, so how was your experience with them? I'm thinking about applying to their Autograph Share 80/5000 Plus Rx & Doctor Visit Copay plan.

Answer: I have humana. I bought them online from http://www.lvhealthins.com They have been great to deal with and the showed me all the options including Blue Cross, Unicare, Aetna, Assurant, Humana and American National. We got to see the rates for all the leading companies. Our deductible is much lower than yours. You might want to check with your agent on what a lower deductible would costs. If you have a hospital stay you will have to pay that deductible out of pocket.

I need to buy insurance so I can actually figure out some medical issues that I can't take care of until I have insurance. Does anyone know how long it will take to find out if I am approved or declined?

Answer: ~~About 15 business days is the average, and Humana is normally a very quick turn around. You should have an answer withing 10 business days with them.~~
