Can I Use Something Like AARP As Supplemental Insurance With Tricare?

As a military retiree, I work as an independent contractor and have nothing besides Tricare insurance. I am so frustrated that my wife has to pay for full insurance coverage for us and our Tricare only acts as a supplemental insurance. If she looses her job we have nothing really as tricare only covers a small percentage of what "THEY CONSIDER ALLOWABLE". Can't we use something like AARP as a supplemental insurance to Tricare?

Can you get to a military hospital for treatment? My mother had Tricare, and she said Medicare wasn't allowed to bill Tricare, so most of her treatment at Walter Reed was nearly free.

Good luck, because you'll need it.
