What Is A Reasonable Auto Insurance Liability Amount, I Don't Believe The Current Legal Limits Are Enough?

Florida State Required auto insurance limits are not nearly enough insurance to carry especially if you live in a larger city in florida. What is a good acceptable liability limit to carry on my vehicles?

Answer: Great question and analysis. I wish more people would look at the laughable state minimums and recognize that they aren't enough.

The answer depends on what you have for answers to protect, but I normally suggest a minimum of 100/300/100 for liability limits and 50/100 for uninsured and underinsured coverage.

Average General Liability Insurance Limits For Small Business In Nevada?

Answer: How do you average an accountant, and a neurosurgon's office? You can't.

It's probably going to be somewhere between $500 and $500,000, depending on a huge variety of factors you didn't mention.

What Liability Limits Should I Apply To My Auto Insurance?

My husband and I are researching new insurance rates. We have looked into Geico and are almost ready to buy the policy. We currently have 25/50,000 liability limits, but since we own our house and can afford a little more, we're looking into increasing our liability to 100/300,000. Is that OK? Or, should we increase the limits to 250/500,000? It seems unnecessary to increase it THAT high.

Answer: I carry 100/300,000 and have for many years. That is plenty but anything less is hanging your fanny out in the wind in the event of an accident. If you don't have anything it may be O.K. but if you have a house or other property they can come after then you need enough insurance to cover you.

Auto Insurance Limits Of Liability ?

How high should I reasonably set my liability limits. From what I can tell my current Auto policy limits are $25k and $50k. That seems a bit low to me. My friend said he has $100k and $300k. What do you suggest. We are an average income family, and currently drive and Escalade ESV, and a G35 coupe(Nothing like living beyond your means, you only get one shot at this thing right?).

Answer: I wouldn't go lower than 100/300...let's work it backwards-how would you feel if someone totalled your Escalade and had only 25K worth of insurance? See? You also have to take into account medical costs of someone you might hit. If you own a home I'd suggest 250/500 so you won't lose your house in a major accident.
