Is The Beneficiary Of A Life Insurance Responsible For Cremation Costs?

The deceased has no funds or estate. The state will cremate her because of this. Is the beneficiary of the life insurance policy responsible to report to the state that there is a life insurance policy.

Answer: No.

Being the beneficiary of a life insurance policy does NOT make that person liable for debts of the deceased person or any costs associated with the person's death.

How Much Money Do Lawyers Know To Ask Or Sue The Responsible Insurance Company In Injury Cases For?

My son was riding his motorcycle on a street when a man failed to yield. My son hit the side of the truck, was knocked out and has a two inch scar on his chin for the rest of his life. The mans insurance is claiming 100% responsibility . How much money should we ask for?

Answer: Base it on his medical bills. Start by asking for 6 times his medical bills, though know you won't get that much, it's just a starting point for negotiations. If you feel like the insurance company is trying to rip you off and being unfair, hire a lawyer. And when people sue, in general, the exact amount they are asking for isn't really listed. To get it into District Court, at least in Idaho, you specify damages in excess of $10,000, but you don't actually ask for a specific amount in the complaint. It could be different in other jurisdictions.

How Do I Get The Car Insurance Company Responsible To Pay My Medical Bills?

A guy backed into my car. It was parked to sell it. So no insurance policy on it. My BF and I were sitting in the car out of the rain writting out a new for sale sign.

My BF and I were injured. The medical people are refusing to bill the insurance company responsible. They wanted me to pay up front and get rembursed later or have some other insurance cover it. I used my work health insurance, but I will have to go after the Car insurance company to pay the bill. How do I do that?

Answer: get a lawyer

Is A Title Insurance Company Responsible When They Do Not Disclose An Open Permit?

To make it short and simple:

Refinancing a house now

An open permit from 1949 came up, can't close with out resolving

House was purchased in 1978 and this "open permit" never came up. Title Insurance was issued @ purchase.

Can we hold Title Insurance Company responsible for this?

Thanks for your replies.

Answer: Where did the issue of the "open permit" come from? Title searches involve property title history and encumbrances - not building permit issues.

Should my insurance, BlueCross/BlueShield pay for a dog bite ...

My insurance, BC/BS, will not pay for the injury to be treated claiming that our friend’s ‘Homeowners" insurance should pay for it. However our friend’s are renters and have NO insurance, and NO money. If your insurance pays for the bite, then they WILL sue your friend – so without insurance, your friend will have to pay for this, or have his wages garnished forever until they get reimbursed. If my son was to get injured at my house (which has happened before) BC/BS would and has paid for it and not claimed that my homeowners insurance should pay for it. Any ideas on how to proceed. Your friend should have had RENTERS insurance, to cover the bite....
