What Is The Best Health Insurance Plan/provider In Central California?

Answer: There is no best...otherwise there'd be only one. Find a broker that does business there and they'll help you find a plan. A broker will help you for free because they are compensated by the company and you CANNOT get the same plan directly from the company at a lower rate. Going direct is an amateur mistake. It's like representing yourself in court if you had access to a reputable, free attorney.

We Live In Central Ohio. I Am Currently NOT Insured By My Employer. My Wife Carries Our Health Insurance.?

We live in Central Ohio. I am currently NOT insured by my employer. My wife carries our health insurance. I am getting a new job that offers health insurance to me BUT at a large price. (almost $3,000.00 per year just for me). My wifes employer or probably insurance company says I MUST take this insurance...NO CHOICE. Does this sound legal? How can they tell us we MUST take it and thus, take that $3,000.00 hit to my new salary?
Any advise would be helpful. Thanks

Answer: Yes, get used to the new world of "Obamacare". Soon, we will ALL have to purchase health insurance, even if our spouse pays for it through her or his work, that is the "genius" of this new program, everybody pays more, so a few who don't have insurance will have it. Why don't they just call it a tax and let us get on with out lives? So this company is just starting now, which is perfectly legal. By the way, your cost of 3K is probably not the total cost, the company is kicking in a big part most likely, however you are not required to take the job, so you do have a choice, right?
Get used to more onerous impositions on our personal liberties, coming soon from the

My Neigbor Complains Constantly About His Lack Of Health Insurance?

But he does have 2 boats, nice car, pickup truck (gas guzzler), large flat TV, laptop, dsl, atv, recent home remodel, Central AC, rec room with pool table and stocked bar, dinner out every week, riding mower (I push mine). Is it wrong for me to not want to pay for his health insurance? I have no problem helping the needy, and I often do through charities.

Answer: Your neighbor, like most (not all, before we're deluged with sob stories about how unfair life is) who have no health insurance, has a problem with his priorities. His family's welfare should come before beer.

Support The Affordable Health Care For America Act?

Will Republicans support the Affordable Health Care for America Act if the public option is dropped?

This would include the following:

prohibiting health insurers from charging different rates based on patients' medical histories or gender
prohibiting health insurers from refusing coverage based on patients' medical histories
repeal of the exemption for insurance companies from anti-trust laws
requiring most employers to provide coverage for their workers or pay a surtax on the worker's wages up to 8%
new restrictions on abortion coverage in private insurance plans (note: Medicare is already prohibited from covering abortions by law)

Answer: Considering that they are funded by (un)insurance companies and ignore the facts, then no.

FACT - Insurance companies in the USA admit to pushing up prices, buying politicians and not paying out claims when they should [1]
FACT - PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet [2]
FACT - Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare [3]
FACT - the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage [4]
FACT - Obama was elected by the American people to bring in change [5]

Does Having Health Insurance Determine Whether You Live Or Die?

My nephew had a minor motorcycle accident and while his injuries are not life threatening, he was on a blood thinner that has kept him in the critical intensive care unit since the tuesday after Mother's Day, with kindey failure, the heart enlarging and a blood clot in one of his lungs. Well he has very good health insurance and his mother is a retired RN. My nephew is in one of the major trauma hospitals in central NJ and is fighting for his life. Since he has been in the ICU almost all of the patients that were there since he arrived and some that came after him have died. Many of them (because this is an inner city facility) have no health insurance and no family members that can be at

Answer: So sorry to hear of your nephew's accident. I will be praying for his speedy and thorough recovery. Thank goodness this boy IS insured and that he has family and friends who love him and a mother with medical knowledge.

Sadly, there truly are countless children and adults who are un(der)insured, and who may not receive the same level of service that your nephew has received. However, if their situation is truly life threatening, then a hospital can NOT deny treatment (they must stabilze). If, however, their condition does NOT (quite literally) immediately threaten life or limb, the hospital can (and frequently does) deny treatment until suitable financial arrangements are secured.

The common dilemma facing policy makers in India is with regard to the need for a Government sponsored health insurance cover when health services are being provided ‘free’ by the Government itself. One of the most urgent and vexing problems in the developing world, more so in India, is how to finance and provide health care for more than a billion persons, most of whom are impoverished or belong to low income group. In most Asian countries, health care is financed by out-of-pocket (OOP) payments by individuals. However, the fact is that the ‘free’ government health services are not meeting the needs of the community....
