How Much Do You Pay For Tiburon Insurance?

I have a 2002 Honda Civic coupe but am trying to convince my parents to look at a 2003 Tiburon. I am 18 years old, have done the "safe student driver" program, I have a discount from my gpa, and have not had any accidents.
Also, my dad thinks that Tiburons are bad cars; I've heard a lot of mixed opinions. Are they reliable cars in comparison with a Honda?

Answer: I have a 2003 Tiburon bought new. It has been insured by more than one insurance company and they do not consider it a sports car for insurance purposes. I pay the same as my other cars. I have not had any problems with mine other than normal repairs (tires, battary, oil changes). It is a V6 2.7L AT, I drive it fast, do not and will not baby the car, still runs good and does not use oil. The 2.7L engine is not the fastest thing on the road but not the slowest. Public information (not my saying at all) it is faster than some V8 engines... I know some with larger engines have tried to take me and some did.. but it took all they had. If you get one, do not get the 6 speed stright shift.
 
 

Would A Hyundai Tiburon Change My Insurance?

I currently drive a 6 cylinder, four-door sedan and was planning on selling it for a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon. I was wondering if the drastic change in car would increase the price I pay for insurance. I am still classed as a "newly licensed driver".

Answer: I have a Tiburon and insurance companies do not consider it a sports car for insurance... so you will not find any drastic change in your insurance cost. I would guess it will still be the same or maybe just a little higher, but not by much.

As A Sixteen Year Old Guy Would A Hyundai Tiburon Jack My Insurance?

im about to get my first car. parents are worried that it will jack the insurance because they think it might be a sports car

Answer: Most if not all insurance companies do no consider the Tiburon a sports car for insurance. I called when buying mine and it wasn't rated as a sports car for insurance..... guess would be the same answer you received on the last question you asked about this ... why don't you call the insurance company and have them tell you.

What Car Will Be Cheaper On Insurance? 2002 Hyundai Tiburon Or 2000 Toyota Celica?

So I'm hoping to get one of them by next year (when i'll have my license) and i know they'll both be pretty expensive on insurance but, which one do you think would be cheaper? i really need to know this asap! thank youu!

Answer: I don't believe you will find much difference if any in price of insurance between the two. And if the average driver could save over $396 when switching as the other answer said, my insurance would be free.... they may even pay me. Check with your insurance company for the best information.

How Is The Insurance On A Hyundai Tiburon?

Im 14 right now, but im looking at cars and I LOVE this one, but my mom and dad think that the insurance would be high? Is it bad? Thanks

Answer: My insurance company told me that the Tiburon was not considered a sports car. So the insurance on it would be no different than any other car for you. Other insurance companies may see it different, so you may want to check.
(The new ones that are to be available with high powered engines in them may be different)
