What Documents/insurance Certificates Are Required To Be Able To Have A Cake Stand At A Country Fair?

My girlfriend is wanting to put up a little cake stand at a country fair/market but she has never done it before and is unsure what documentation she would need. We know she would need a Food Hygiene Certificate but do not know what else. Would she also need some sort of insurance?? If you could please help and also let me know where se would need to go to get and documention and what type of insurance would be required I would be most grateful. Many thanks for any answers.

Answer: It's possible that you are going to need a sales tax number, in order to collect and pay sales tax. Insurance? Find out if you need it. Ask the organizers of the fair about that, since you may not. (If you do, ask what broker they use because generally they have a "deal" with them). Good luck. I almost forgot, the rent is going to be a "killer".
 
 

Does H Samuel Keep A Copy Of Insurance Certificates?

I have recently taken a chain into H Samuel too have it repaired, since leaving the store i have somehow lost the insurance certificate for the item. Does anyone know if i can get a copy or if the store keeps a copy etc?

Answer: The store might keep a copy, might not. You can probably get a copy from whoever issued it originally.

How Long Do I Have To Keep Personal Documents Such As Old Bank Statements And Expired Insurance Certificates?

Is there UK law that states these documents should be kept for a specific amount of time? I have a whole heap of old paperwork including cheque stubs, bank statements, old employment contracts, P60s etc. - -what should I do with them?

Answer: Revenues and Customs can ask you to prove your income for any tax year in the last seven years, so after seven years you can shread them.

You can put shreaded paper into a recyle box or composter.

Do not just put them in the bin or recycle box as Identity fraud is at an all time high.

What Will Happen If I Cannot Produce A Business Insurance Certificate To The Police?

I was caught with a dead brake light and given a producer. I was also caught in my work uniform and, because of the nature of the business, it was obvious I needed business insurance.

I am not insured on my own policy for business use - however, I am insured through my company with compulsary third party insurance.

My employer has made excuse after excuse about my insurance certificate and I now have only tomorrow to take it to the police.

I have taken all reasonable steps to obtain a certificate - but what can I do if I have to rely on someone else and they are being awkward about it?

At the end of the day, I am insured for business

Answer: What is a producer? It's kinda foggy about what you actually do or who you really work for. I mean what kind of business. I'm sure you and/or your employer will at least be fined. In Delaware you can be put on probation for something like that. You and your employer need to get this insurance stuff straightened out or you should go get another job.

Can Employers Ask For Marriage Certificates And Children's Birth Certificates For Insurance, I Gave SS#'s.?

I am a little concerned on releasing this information. I already had my children's SS#'s stolen from a tax company who "needed" them. Our last name is Spanish and ALL my family are naturally born citizens, including their father. I am afraid of identity theft if I let their information float around, all in one place.

Answer: It might not be the employer who needs the documentation. It might be the insurance company. You gave the SS # on your W-4 for tax withholding purposes. Social security numbers will not let the insurer verify that they are your children or spouse. Marriage certificates and birth certificates will.
