American Income Life Insurance Job?

I had an interview with American income life insurance company today and of course them being sales men made it sound so great. I just don't know if very many people would be wanting to buy life insurance or not right now. He said people were now especially because its the right time in this economy. But being a sales man he can make anyone believe him. Would you think this would be a good idea??

Answer: Yes, most state require the non-custodial to provide insurance.

Would Selling Life Insurance Be A Good Job?

But being a sales man he can make anyone believe him. Would you think this would be a good idea??

Answer: I've got neighbors trying to sell me life insurance - they are everywhere.
In careerbuilder.com I get more of those jobs than anything else.
They actually say you have to pay 99 bucks for a test.

I don't want life insurance - if I need it - I get it throug work much cheaper than anywhere else.

Why Did John McCain Have To Borrow From His Life Insurance Policy To Finance His Political Campaign?

If so many rich Republicans are on McCain's side, why did he have to borrow from his life insurance policy to pay for his television ads? If McCain does not have enough money to manage his own private business affairs, how can he manage the US government's economy that is suffering tremendously because of all of the money America is spending overseas? I honestly admire McCain for his valor & courage during the Vietnam War but the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan are different, and the United States has made tremendous sacrifices in effort to change the world and build democracies in countries that are much older than the USA and steeped in historical and religious traditions. Answer: It would seem that the Demohook has been set deeply.
Check the Senate and the House and 'determine' which party is the party of the rich. Most of the past Democratic Party has been Millionaires BEFORE they entered office.
Or as PT Barnum once said There is a sucker born every minute.

Life Insurance In Canada Or U.S?

I am an American citizen, married to a Canadian guy and living in Canada now. I want to get life insurance but dont know if I should get it through a U.S. company or Canadian? Would it matter if I were to die? I am currently waiting on my permanent resident status here in Canada. What if I had Canadian Life insurance and died outside of Canada or visa versa? Just want to make sure I set it all up right *just in case*. Any help would be great since I cant get a straight answer online through insurance companies....Thanks!

Answer: You'll have to get it through a Canadian company, and you might have to wait until you're a permanent resident.

You won't get a US Insurance company to sell you a policy, while you're living in Canada - they're not licensed to sell insurance in Canada.

You'll have to ask your Canadian insurance company how coverage would apply outside the country. Usually, if it's only US/Canada, it's not a big deal. If it's Canada/Uganda, big deal.

You can't get straight answers online. You have to call a local agent. Online websites are all about harvesting your personal information to sell it - not about answering case specific questions.

What Does An Insurance Agent's Job Entail?

I recently posted my resume on CareerBuilder.com and since then I am continuously getting emails from Insurance companies to be an insurance agent. Personally I hate pushing paper and making phone calls (and my resume obviously states that considering all the carpenters experience i have noted). BUT I have a baby on the way and am getting very desperate for a job and am actually considering calling one of these guys back... I'd just like an opinion from someone who has first hand experience as an agent or whom has worked for an insurance company. What would it be like when I first joined? How much salary can I expect? And what kind of work can I be expected to perform? Anything would be great.

Answer: I had a prior coworker work for American Income. i think the salary depends, as it is commission only if i remember correctly. i know that he kind of went to in person appointments at people's homes and sold only life insurance. you will have to get your license to sell life from the state, and is it a kind of long process (the study book is kind of lenghty and then you have to pass the tests). i am licensed in life/health/auto/fire and work for a large insurance company. not an agent, but work for one. It is a good job if you are into sales. American Income you are kind of on your own, set your own hours, make calls, set your own appointments kind of thing. but if you are good at it you can

You get the 3 months free, but they end up charging your account EVERY MONTH FOREVER after that, and it’s really, really hard (not to mention a PITB) to get it cancelled and get them to stop charging you for it. It’s a marketing ploy. A lot of times, all they are offering is accident life insurance. It’s not about you being a great customer, they do it for EVERYONE they’re trying to sell. OH, man, this is just like the "get one free issue, and we automatically charge you for two more years worth" deal. Like $10 per month....
