Can I Get Dog Liability Insurance To Cover My Dog While My Dog Goes With Me On Vacation To Another State (WI)?
Question by Daniel | Posted in Dogs
I do own a home. My dog is half yellow lab half poodle (Labradoodle)-she is harmless and sweet! I want to take her to a camp that has made new policy on dogs. They must be insured. It is a Christian camp for kids. I am the director for one week this summer. I've brought my dog last year without inncident. Will I be able to get insurance to cover her on the road?
Answer: Yes. Just call your agent. Your current policy probably already covers this anyway.
How Much Is Dog Liability Insurance For Dog Owners?

In new york?
Answer: I have normal homeowner's insurance. When Ii lived in an apartment, I didn't carry any liability insurance. I guess you could call an agent and ask. They'll sell you a policy on anything. I doubt it's required though.
Take good care of your dog, get it trainied and be a responsible owner. That's the best insurance policy you can get.
I'm working at a pet boutique and I can bring my dog to work -- but my boss is asking that I should get liability insurance for him. He's a mini labradoodle.
I already have him covered in my renters insurance - but I don't think that it will cover him for work. Where can I get one??
My boss has liability insurance as well for her dog and for her business.
Does Anyone Know About Liability Insurance For Your Dog?
Question by eva_nielsen_2006 | Posted in Dogs
I might have to buy some liability insurance for my dog, I was wondering if anyone has experience in this area. How Much did you have to pay? The site I went to quoted me $900 for a year.
Answer: Your liability insurance costs will vary based on the breed, weight, state you live in, and history of your dog. Without knowing more information, I can't really gauge whether that is a good deal or not.
Roughly though, if your dog's breed is considered "dangerous," you can expect to pay up to $1000/year. If your dog has a bite history, the amount would probably be over $1000/year. If your dog is not dangerous, and has no bite history, you should be able to find some for about $700/year.
Get several more quotes from different insurance companies and compare, that's the best advice I can give. Shopping around always helps get the best deals.

Depending on their insurance she could learn dog care and handling, and help dogs too (though not for money). She, being under the age of 18, can not enter into a contract- even if she wrote something and everyone signed it, she can’t be held to it because of her age. You might be able to sign for her, but I’m still not sure that, if something happened, you wouldn’t still be liable. And there may be people at a shelter near you who are dogwalkers and could steer her in the right direction to answer your question.

An amendment to the current leash law in Arizona could soon mean insured dogs will roam leash-free. If passed, SB 1065 would allow dog owners the right to let their pets out leash-free, provided they purchase a $100000 canine liability policy.
Liability insurance is required of Canine Good Citizenship dogs, she said, but once a dog is certified nationally, the certifying organization usually provides the insurance. Any dog can pass and any dog can fail, Sorensen said.
