How To Find Your Lost National Insurance Number (UK)?

Its not for me, but someone I know doesnt know his NI number. He is British but hasnt a clue what it is nor does he have his card.

Where can he recover his number from?

Answer: Apply for another card at the Department for Work and Pensions or the HM Revenue and Customs Office. You can do this online.

ive lost my national insurance number, is it true you can only replace it once? and how do i find out what it is?

Answer: what is a national insurance number? This is not Russia. I have never heard of this. If you lose a card or something that identifies you with a specific number on it you can get it replaced as many times as needed as long as you are willing to pay for it.

Lost National Insurance Number?

I've been living in Ireland, after leaving Scotland when I was fourteen. But I'm planning to go back very soon, the problem is, I was never sent out a National Insurance Number card as I was too young when I left. I am a british citizen.

So what happens? I'll need a National Insurance Number to work when I return. Any help is appreciated.

Answer: Contact your local job centre, and they will be able to either find your NI number on the data base (i have done this) or give you a new one, provided you can prove you are a British Citizen (ie passport, birth certificate etc.)

Im Polish And National Insurance Number People Lost My Passport ?

So i had to send my passport to national insurance number people and they have lost my passport .. so now i cant go on holiday :((
i live in england for 3 years ..
im 16 years old..
would i be able to get an english passport ?

Answer: Why did you send it to them? You should have made an appointment and brought your passport with you to the interview.

No you cannot get a British passport as you are not British. You will have to apply for a new Polish passport as you are Polish. You need to apply at the Polish Embassy in London.

I've Lost My National Insurance Number, And I Would Like To Be Sent Another, But How?

I can't find my card, and never had a job so can't use old letters and stuff. I don't want the card, just to be sent the number in the post, i know you can but i don't know how, i've looked for a number and seem to have found like 5 different ones.

Please help.
