I just graduated as a Medical Insurance Specialist. I'm currently looking for work within a health care office, such as a medical practice, hospital or health insurance company. I have lots of data entry and clerical/office experience, but I do not have any medical office experience and would love to get some, as I want to get my feet wet in this growing industry. I will do anything from office assistant/receptionist/clerical duties to anything else that is related to the medical office, such as medical records/filing.
Currently, I am looking to work full-time Monday through Saturday, and I can work overtime on certain days, as I long as I am given prior notice. I am also looking

I just got a new job with wonderful insurance and my doctor recommended us visit a fertility specialist since my husband and I have been TTC for over 2 years, do i need a referral..or what?
and once i get an appointment.. what will happen?

Answer: It all depends on your insurance and how their system works. If you have an HMO then you will need a referral from your doctor, then the HMO will decide whether or not to approve it, then if they approve it you will go to a fertility doctor (reproductive endocrinologist) that they approve.
If you have a PPO you probably don't even need to get a referral! Just find out what fertility specialists in your area are on their list of approved doctors and waltz on in to their office! The good thing about PPO insurance is that you pretty much go where you want when you want. The bad thing is that you usually end up paying A LOT more out of pocket! You get the service you want, but
