Disability Insurance Lawyer?

Does anyone have experience using a disability law firm? I need to file for disability and have decided it would be best to hire a law firm that specializes in this. I've seen Binder and Binder advertised but I have also seen complaints about them. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Apologies for leaving out this important detail: I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth TX area.

Answer: ~~Need to know what state you live in. From what I have heard from people who use TV law firms, is you don't get much help with them. They're just too big for personalized care.

Better to ask around with people you know, or look at internet ads and pick a couple out. Then speak with them. I have a few names, but I live in So. Calif. If you live in this area, email me through here and I will be happy to give you their names. Best of luck.~~

Answer: Yes. Just look in the yellow pages under attorney's. Or, call your state bar association. Or, just call Social Security and ask them your questions.

Disability Insurance Settlement And Lawyers Fees Are They Deductible?

Are the Lawyers fees deductiable from a Employee group insurance claim on my income taxes I have a form statement of qualifying retroactive Lump sum payment forms from the insurance company that I have to put on my income taxes.

Answer: Legal fees related to producing or collecting taxable income or getting tax advice to leads to collecting taxable income.

I Am On Workers Comp. Is There Advantage Of Getting A Lawyer Or Stay With My Insurance. I Have A Disability.?

50/50/ work related and normal body degeneration for 30 years of work ing same job. doctors rate this at a 15 percent perm. disability. Any ideas?

Answer: You know it's really up to you, your entitled to an attorney. Once you get an attorney all contact with the insurance company will cease so if you call the adjuster they won't call you back.
It also depends on where you are at. Is the claim close to closing, looks like you will get a 15% award. If you are able to return to normal work and you don't qualify for vocational rehab than I wouldn't think you need an attorney. If the claim is that close to closing I just don't see the need, unless you want to keep your meds open or something like that, depends on each state.

Getting an attorney has it's cost and benefits, some attorney actually look after their clients while others

Disability Insurance In Vermont?

Does anyone know if it's legal in the state of Vermont to employee people without disability insurance? I know it's illegal in New York. I'm out of work due to pregnancy complications for 3 weeks or so and I can't collect disability for this or my maternity leave because they said they don't have disability insurance. I called a lawyer, but haven't heard back from them yet. Just curious if anyone knows the answer to this question.

Answer: Yes. Only California and New York require disability coverage.
